Last week I attended my first ever Speciality and Fine Food Fair at London’s Olympia to help a friend who has a new, and rather fabulous, product that she is launching – Bullet Bars. These bars have been a favourite at Crossfit Connect and a few other local stockists for a while now but they are too good to keep to ourselves, it was time to take them out into the world and find out if other people loved them as much as we do. Whilst there I got the opportunity to promote a product which I really believe in (delicious, nutritious, gluten free, dairy free, wheat free, paleo, raw, vegetarian society approved snacks made with coconut oil) and to see an event like this in action.
The Speciality and Fine Foods Fair was over three days but I only attended for the Monday and Tuesday. When I wasn’t giving out samples of the yummy treats I took the time to wander round, taste food from all around the world, and meet some really lovely people.
Overall it was a huge success with overwhelming praise for Bullet Bars, and, despite being exhausted, we went home on Tuesday with big smiles on our faces, laden down with goodies we had been given, and having learned enormous amounts from the experience. Best of all as a thank you for our help we were treated last night to a delicious meal at Brighton’s The Coal Shed. It was the best food I have eaten in a very long time and I highly recommend it to anyone.
